Cheryl King, of NYC’s Stage Left Studio, is currently in Boulder working with the singer/writer/musician Louise Pearson on her solo show. You are invited to view Cheryl’s work, plus the brilliant performance Louise has crafted, at Shine October 19 – 27. http://www.louisepearson.com/
Cheryl has been leading workshops on writing, comedy, mime and acting all around the US since 1999. She’s been a featured instructor in LA, NYC, Chicago, Seattle, and Santa Fe.
In her Writing Your Heart Out workshops, members produce solo shows, plays, and screenplays, and take the resulting works to the major fringe festivals, and to theaters across the US and Europe.
In her Body Language workshops, members work with her original exercises to overcome stage fright, develop new physical awareness, and to find a greater comfort in their own skin.
A seasoned director of over 60 plays and solo shows, Cheryl brings a powerful sensitivity to the challenges of exploring a script and bringing it to life.
As the resident acting coach at the soap opera “All My Children” Cheryl developed techniques for quick memorization and cold-reads.
And as the creator of her own production company, Stage Left Studio, she honed her skills as an all-round theater practitioner, with knowledge of sound and light design, costume and set design, and producing for multiple venues.
In one-on-one coaching, Cheryl can help you get right to the heart of the matter –and guide you toward a fuller realization of the work. With honed instincts and years of experience, she supports your vision, expands your possibilities, and helps you produce your best performance.
